Behind the Aesthetic: Manik & Apex Gaming PCs

Behind the Aesthetic: Manik & Apex Gaming PCs

In the world of custom PCs, aesthetics are just as important as the silicon inside. If you’ve been browsing for the perfect Apex "snow white" build or a clean, professional workstation, you’ve likely seen the Manik name.

At Apex Gaming PCs, we are often asked: "Who is Manik?" and "Is Apex and Manik the same thing?"

To keep it simple: Apex Gaming PCs operates as a DBA (Doing Business As) Manik. Manik is our specialized hardware arm. It is the brand we use to white-label premium PC components—specifically our popular white-colored hardware—to ensure every build has a cohesive, high-end look that third-party brands can’t always provide.

The Manik Aesthetic: Why White Hardware?

Most PC components are black or grey by default. When we set out to build the ultimate white gaming setup, we realized that "off-the-shelf" parts often had clashing shades of white or ugly black cables. We also realized that our Apex logo really didn't vibe well with white.

Manik was created to solve this. From Manik PSUs with matching white modular cables to Manik AIOs and cases, this branding represents our commitment to a unified design language. When you see Manik branding, you are seeing hardware designed specifically to fit the Apex standard of excellence.

Critical Disclosure: PSU, AIO, & Fan Hub Safety

To ensure the longevity of your system and your personal safety, please adhere to the following damage disclosures regarding Manik hardware:

  • Power Supply (PSU): Never attempt to open or self-service a Manik PSU. These are closed-unit components containing high-voltage capacitors that can discharge even when unplugged.

  • AIO Liquid Coolers: Any signs of moisture, residue, or "greasiness" around the pump or tube fittings should be reported immediately. Liquid damage resulting from a failure to report leaks within 72 hours of discovery may void your warranty.

  • Fans & Fan Hubs: Ensure that fan hubs are mounted in areas with adequate airflow. Do not daisy-chain more than the recommended number of RGB fans to a single Manik hub header, as this can lead to electrical shorts or hub failure.
