Manik/Apex Power Supply Label Recall

Manik/Apex Power Supply Label Recall

Dear Apex Gaming PCs Customers,

At Apex Gaming PCs, we pride ourselves on building more than just PCs. We build systems that empower gamers, creators, and professionals. To do that, we focus on the integrity of every component inside your PC.

Today, we are announcing a voluntary labeling recall for certain Manik/Apex Power Supply Units (PSUs) in partnership with the CPSC and Health Canada. To be clear: the hardware itself meets all safety standards. However, an internal audit revealed a labeling inconsistency. Out of an abundance of caution, we are recalling all potentially affected units to ensure every PSU carries the correct safety documentation.

Here is what happened, what we’ve done.

The Discovery:

During a proactive audit of our supply chain partners, our compliance team identified that the physical safety labels on a specific batch of Manik/Apex PSUs did not perfectly align with our standards.

Even though this was a label-only issue, we immediately took action.

Our Response:

As soon as the inconsistency was identified, Apex Gaming PCs initiated a response:

  1. Stopped Sales: We immediately paused the sale of all affected units across all channels.
  2. Full Containment: This pause includes units that may already have the appropriate labels, ensuring no further inconsistent units reach our customers while we finalize our audit.
  3. Instant Notification: We immediately emailed all affected customers, posted warning notices across our social media platforms, and ensured all manuals and guidelines included warnings to never open PSUs.

  4. CPSC Notification: Apex Gaming PCs notified the Consumer Product Safety Commission of the labeling issue within two business days of learning of the issues with a comprehensive recall plan.
  5. Physical Label Update Program (Active): We are currently mailing updated, compliant safety labels directly to all users at no cost, and offering free replacement power supplies if customers are more comfortable with that option. This recall does not have an end date, and will continue until all affected serial numbers are confirmed addressed.

Hardware You Can Trust

We want to be clear: the hardware inside the Manik/Apex PSUs remains safe. Our PSUs continue to be compliant with industry standards and have the following certifications.

  • UL & CSA 62368-1 Compliance: Tested for safety in audio/video and ICT equipment as recently as April 2026.

  • cTUVus Certification: Verified by TÜV Rheinland to meet North American (cTUVus) safety requirements as recently as April 2026.

  • FCC Part 15 Class B: Certified to operate without causing harmful interference as recently as March 2026.

Our Safety Record

Safety is not a goal; it is a requirement. We are proud to report that there have been zero reports of injuries or deaths related to any Apex Gaming PC's/Manik product or component in the history of our company. This recall is a proactive measure to maintain that perfect record.

Next Steps for Owners

As a reminder, to ensure your continued safety, DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, ATTEMPT TO OPEN, DISASSEMBLE, OR SERVICE ANY POWER SUPPLY UNIT.
