I had to call customer a few times and i was impressed whit the attention they gave me
After a somewhat significant delay my PC finally arrived. Issues with the order were promptly dealt with by the customer services staff once they were notified. I am extremely pleased with the performance of the pc thus far and after 3 months of use I haven't encountered any issues.
Purchasing the computer was super easy because of help from your team. However, I ran into a CPU fan issue with my computer. Sometimes the fan would work, sometimes it wouldn't which would cause the computer to prompt me with all kinds of BIOS settings, latency, and cooling issues. I was able to fix the issue by replacing the CPU fan with the assistance of your outstanding staff members, so thank you.
On a separate note, I felt that I didn't know how to optimize my PC's performance. I think it might help you stand out if you offer some kind of video/graphics walkthrough to really stand out from your competition. This was my first time custom building a PC, so I wasn't too sure about the specs that I should run. Perhaps this is something you can offer to customers if they were to call in as oppose to offering it to everyone automatically.
I'm happy with the machine, I can easily say those were well spent money. It just took a bit too long to get it (around 6 months since I did place the order). Also the removable glass part of the case completely shattered as soon as I did try to open the pc which is no biggie but a little annoying, now I have a permanently open case so the inside is more prone to dust. Whatever, again, no biggie, the machine itself is amazing, just like I did want it.
It is a custom build, therefore it does take time. However I was able to email the company about the timeframe and my concerns. They responded with a more clear timeframe. I did have multiple people reply, I don’t feel like it was ever the same person. But the computer came and my son loves it.
Love the pc but ordered it in July and got it around late October
Good pc, works well but I was never sent a power cord and Apex refused to send one and kept insisting they sent one when they did not.
Where do I even start? Between the long wait times for support, the 6 months it took to get the pc, or the fact that the pc does not even work properly.
I am appalled at the company for their variois practices. I trusted Apex Gaming PCs to be my system integrator and all they did was use cheap components wherever they got the chance. Not only did I essentially get charged double for what components actually went into my Pc they even used cheap parts such as mushkin RAM when they have the chance. And I don't really trust the PSU either. With that said here is my experience from start to finish.
I've wanted a PC ever since I was a kid, but between college and work I never really had the time to build it myself. I was recommended Apex gaming Pcs by a YouTuber who I assumed could be trusted as legitimate. I took a look on the website and liked what I saw -- the website itself is nice, you can pick your parts to get a completely custom pc, and I liked the fact that they employed veterans. As such I decided to put in a purchase for my dream Pc. I got a top of the line build and spent around 8 thousand USD on it. Looking back now it's hilarious how excited I was -- safe to say I look back on that day and realize how ignorant I was. Anyways, after purchasing the pc they sent me a few updates and a link to their status portal, which I have my issues with but honestly works and serves it purpose, and I eagerly awaited for my PC to arrive. About once a week or so I would check in to see how the build was coming along. Until week 6 or 7 (around there) when I started to complain. However, I decided to wait it out because my thought was that the long wait would be worth it if the PC worked great. Skipping the part where I waited for another 2 months. Everything was ready for my pc except there was a compatability issue they emailed me about. I immediately responded and explained what I would've liked them to do, but here is the kicker, they never responded and I got an email a day later saying my pc was shipped. I was in a panic -- what did they do with the pc? Did they change a component? I eventually got a reply back and they horizontally mounted my gpu but did not include the sag bracket. Which was not what I was asking for in my response email. As such I found this whole situation unprofessional. However the Pc finally arrived and I overlooked that. I was so happy to finally have the Pc I waited so long for. And for a couple weeks it worked amazingly. No problems, no stuttering, great experience. That was until I got a BSOD error. I would continue to get these and emailed support about it. I tried all the fixes -- surprise none of them worked-- and ended up taking out two ram sticks from the a1 and b1 dim slots. This made the pc work fine. I thought it was just a bad ram stick. That was until I got another BSOD error code that read:critical_process_died. Critical process died??? What the heck does that mean -- I'm be a little sarcastic here.
Today I sent another email as I have been able to boot into the computer but I don't want this to continue. I payed good and hard earned money for this pc and I can't believe it's giving me so much trouble. I am more than willing to resolve this whole situation if the company is willing to work with me, but given the history I just layed out I am not confident about it to say the least. If u buy a PC from this company please be careful!
-5/5 for quality, first time splurging extra for RGB and top of the line parts
-installation and set up was a breeze
-i have more money than time, so i splurged on some of the customer service extras: discount on parts upgrades, anti viral software
-apex sent out an email saying their quality control process found 4090s that were apparently not 'new' and they notified everyone and did a recall (this was before i received the pc but it was still nice to know they're monitoring for things like this).
-Long AF wait. 5 months to get order. Granted, major hangup was waiting for 4090 GPU
-more frustrating was the ETA tracker: the ETA changed, not an exaggeration, about a dozen times, anywhere ranging from 1-6 weeks. I'd much prefer an overestimate of ETA than overpromising and then repeatedly being let down.
-never received the monitor that was included for free in the deal
-DO NOT do rush delivery. I ordered this originally and it did not happen. I suggested they put a disclaimer on the rush delivery option with a warning that its not 100% guaranteed, which they then did on the order page. Never received a refund of the rush fee
-i ordered the more basic/smaller sag bracket to help with the size of the 4090 GPU, before finalizing the order, they suggested i upgrade to a slightly more expensive/larger sag bracket. OK, not that much more, sure why not. due to size of 4090, there wasn't enough room to install the recommended sag bracket, so they sent me that part anyway, did not notify me this was happening, and they ended up doing a vertical installation of the GPU. Why wasn't i contacted about this?
-beautiful, quality high end PC
-unlikely to buy another PC in the future: too many communication frustrations
-free monitor was not delivered
-alterations that were made to the PC were not communicated to me
Had nothing but good experiences with it since I got it
Do not buy from them. It took 6 months for them to build my pc and it only lasted 2 months before it bluescreen and broke.
Love the PC, bit of a wait thanks to the parts I ordered and the original shipment coming in with one section of the loop coming loose (can’t really fault anything but a bumpy transit there) but support was helpful any time I’ve had to reach out for assistance, runs great and the only thing I’d change is maybe an outlet valve to make my life easier on changing out the liquid.
Love it! Only thing I wish I did differently was add more storage. Did not realize how big these games get and how fast it fills up! Other than that everything run smooth and I’m starting to see the performance I was hoping for!
pc is decent but overpriced. I Recently got this for a Christmas present and told the person who got me the pc, that they got scammed. all together the pc parts costed 900-1000ish.The person who got the pc for me payed 2000. anytime i bring it up to my friends they say I def got scammed. LOWER THE PRICES.
also the shipping was terribly long
bought in November, got here at the end January
Use it for gaming
The speed and graphics are great
Great pc for gaming.
Only problem is finding out how to change the light colors
Great customer support and custom build shipped in a timely manner
Took a long time to get my computer but I got it then repaired it besides that works great
The pc is absolutely amazing. Everything is well put together and the tuning was damn near perfect.
Customer service was top notch, and the inspection letter I got gave me quite the laugh. Thank you to whomever drew me a dinosaur!
Love the computer, top of the line.
Love it, i was due for a new pc
Works perfectly! It's been an absolute beast of a PC!
Great pic although wait time was over 4 months for a fully custom pic that I dropped 4k for
My pc running good but take long time to receive approximately 4 month
Has crashed literally every day, at least once a day, since I got the thing.
The wait was really long and over shot your estimate of 8 weeks by an extra 4 or 5 weeks. I am happy overall with my computer and the customer service was fairly punctual with responding to my questions. One thing I'm concerned about is not getting any kind of serial number for my O.S. Also having a portal that people can check on their computer status seems like a good thing to do to add transparency but in my case i found my self checking on it almost daily, being uncertain about where parts where, and what shipping delays where adding to the overall build time. It all contributed to me probably emailing the customer service more than i should about things hard to control like supply chain issues. Overall though i would say it was an okay experience.
Took some time to build but worth the wait. Quiet, fast and runs cool. Package arrived in great shape. Plugged in peripherals and was ready to go. Could I have built it myself for cheaper? Perhaps. Did I want to? No. Let the pros do the work right. Love my setup!
The waiting time for this build was simply beyond ridiculous. I basically had to go on the offensive and put constant pressure via customer service to get it shipped after more than 3 months of waiting for parts. Upon arrival we noticed a few issues such as one of the frontal usb ports not working and missing wifi 6e antenna that should have come with the mother board.
Apex is a good company. Way more options than other pc building companies. Also the guys that are in the office are really nice on the phone. They actually care and try to get you extra stuff and discounts just to be nice. Thanks Apex - W. Langham
The pc doesn’t always work. We usually have to restart it often. It is a very expensive piece of equipment. I expected more .
The last system I bought was from Falcon NW. I figured that with their reputation all components would be top notch, but the cases they chose to put their high caliber components in were cheap steel things that really didn't work all that well. I was able to choose a much better and more versatile case with Apex, and the components were on part with FNW as well as the build quality for a lower price. Although it took longer than the estimated time to get my computer, Apex made it right by me, and I have a super system now that does just what I want it to do.
Took a while to get due to them being swamped with work, but well worth the wait. Been performing wonderfully and meeting all my expectations for it.
I was blown away by how absolutely smooth and crisp the graphics are, it was like seeing the world in HD. I can’t believe I was cheating myself for so long with how amazing PC gaming can be with the right computer! Thanks to the apex gaming I am now set for the foreseeable future when it comes to PC gaming!
