Just Bought a Used Apex Gaming PC? Here’s Your Essential Safety & Setup Guide
Welcome to the Apex Family. Whether you picked up a used Apex Gaming PC or a system featuring Manik components from a third party, we want to ensure you have the best—and safest—experience possible. Because you didn't buy directly from us, you may have missed critical safety updates and information.
1. Identify Your Hardware Digitally
If your PC is missing physical specification stickers on the Power Supply (PSU) or case, do not guess the wattage. * How to Verify: Look for the Manik or Apex serial number on the rear of the chassis.
Get Support: Contact our support team with your serial number to receive a digital copy of your specific build sheet and manual.
2. The Universal "No-Open" Policy
All Manik and Apex PSUs are sealed, high-voltage units.
Danger: These units contain capacitors that hold a lethal charge even when unplugged.
Notice: There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Never unscrew or open the PSU casing. Doing so presents a severe risk of electrocution and voids any remaining warranty.
3. Essential Environment Checks
To prevent fire hazards and "catastrophic failure," follow these placement rules:
No Carpet: Never operate your PC on high-pile or thick carpet. This blocks the PSU intake and traps heat.
Clearance: Maintain at least 6 inches of clearance around all fans.
Cables: Only use the modular cables that came with the unit. Mixing cables from other brands can cause a fire or fry your components.
4. Legal Acknowledgement
By using your Apex or Manik hardware, you are subject to our Official Safety & Maintenance Guidelines and our Terms of Service (Section 22). We provide these electronically as our sole manner of safety declaration.
